California-bred Michael Morrow-Buchanan, also known as Mike B is one of the hottest up coming Hip Hop Artist to rise out of the Bay area. "The Bay" is known for producing some of the hottest artist such as E-40, Too Short, and the late great Tupac Shakur, that helped to change Hip Hop music. With the pressure of getting the nation to hear the diverseness of the bay, many artist have attempted to take it to that level and had their struggles. Aware of his future challenges, new Hip Hop Fly Guy,Mike B steps up to the plate. Mike B has emerged to bring a unique sound to the game. At a time when Hip Hop music that is flooded with non-real, overemotional rappers depending on outrageous gimmicks rather than talent, Mike B promises to bring a breath of fresh air to the genre. A combination of smooth Jazz sounds, and an edgy raspy voice creates a uniquely different sound. “I grew up performing old Motown music to my family, an i've been doing music since i was in the 7th grade." Mike B and long time friends started a rap group. In 2000, Diverse City was born. The group had great local success with their first mix-tape U Belong 2 The City selling roughly 1000 in the college curcuit. Diverse city had high expectaions for their debut album under THRO DOWN Records, but the album was never released due to creative diferences between group members and the label.  After the failed group project, and the sour end to their deal with THRO DOWN  he met up with former Diverse City member Marquee in 2005 and started producing records for the up an coming R&B sensation F-Nyce. Mike B, Marquee, And F-Nyce started Ja Soul Ent. in 2006 He wants to continue to make history and contribute to taking Hip Hop to the next level. With Marquee, and F-Nyce, Mike B gets ready to release the Debut album The Soul Lounge Spring 09' on the new label IN THE FASTLANE RECORDS.
